We are the manufacturers and exporters of FRP Basket Strainers. GRP/FRP Basket filters strainers will permit the straining filtering of a wide variety of fluids, to retain solids of almost any size. All baskets are easily removable cleanable. Basket strainer elements can be offered in single cylinder, double cylinder, multi cylinder pleated design depending upon requirement of application. They are constructed of filter housing, filter element supported with perforated cage, positive sealing arrangement to avoid any bypass choice of end connections.
Operation:
  • Unfiltered liquid enters the basket housing and passes down through them. Solids are retained inside / outside of basket depending upon design and are removed when the unit is serviced.They are available with insitu backwashing arrangement, wherein removal of baskets for cleaning is not required often.
  • Basket filters strainers are normally supplied with spring arrangement at the top of filter element. This will ensure any type of bypassing confirm the position of basket, even in case of reverse flow. Fluid bypass around the basket is prevented by an optional O'-Ring seal between the basket rim and the housing inside diameter.

    Body of Y strainer is normally of cast iron or cast steel in various grades with flanged and socket weld type end connection. Fabricated “Y” strainers are also available. VEEKAY bolted cover “Y” Type strainer has low-pressure drop due to higher flow area through a screen. “Y” Strainer used for the removal of foreign bodies in the pipeline and use line trouble-free service and freedom costly repairs or replacement for large area straining perforated screen lined with wire mesh can be used.

    The strainer improves the clearance in the medium, and prolongs the life of valves; protect expensive pumps, meters and other equipment. It is suitable for water, Air, Gas, petroleum, steam and other fluids. VEEKAY trainers are available in wide compatibility of body material, pressure ranges and screen sizes for a various suitable application. “Y” Strainer has the advantage of being able to be installed in either a horizontal or vertical position. However, in both cases, the screening element must be on the downside of the strainer body so that entrapped solids particles can be properly collected.
